Volunteers & Chaperones Needed!

Please consider joining our youth ministry adult team as we reach out to students in high school.. Even if you can only help out a few times, we would greatly appreciate it.

All volunteers who work with youth must fill out a CORI form and take a one time CAP training course (2 hours).

Sometimes, it is the little things...like hot running water or clean clothes, that's what 55-year-old Thomas Wahlstrom missed most in the nine years he was on the street. Join as we go down to help with dinner service at Pine Street Inn.

Knights of Columbus Can & Bottle Drive
Every year the Knights of Columbus run a can & bottle drive here at the parish and the proceeds go to our youth ministry activities. Students are asked to help sort and count bottles and cans for easier redemption.
There are three shifts available on each weekend:
A: Saturday Afternoon from 3:00 - 5:30PM
B: Sunday Morning from 8:-10:30AM
C: Sunday Morning from 10:30-1:00PM

Pancake Breakfast
One of our major fundraisers for the year is our Pancake Breakfast. This event serves the Parish by offering a breakfast on Palm Sunday. We need teens and adults who are willing to help out in the following areas:
A: Setup 7-8AM - Help set up hall, move tables and chairs, place settings, decorations, etc.
B: Service 8:00 - 11:00AM - Assist in service for our guests, pour water, serve food, manage the front desk, drink sales table, etc.
C: Clean-up 11:00 - 12:00PM - Clear tables, sweep floors, take out trash, clean kitchen, etc.
D: If you are willing to help out with the cooking please let us know

St. Patrick's Day Dinner
The St. Patrick's Day Dinner will take place on Saturday March 13, 2010. The organizing committee is requesting students to help set-up the hall from 2-4PM. This is the same day as the last Confirmation Retreat, students attending the retreat should not sign up.

Cor Unum Meal Center
At Cor Unum, we every day eliminate hunger. We welcome and serve all who are in need with the utmost dignity, love, and respect – with open hands, listening ears, and loving hearts. Students will help set-up, serve, and clean-up in a restaraunt style meal center. A typical dinner service feeds about 400 adults and teens.

Assist at the Easter Vigil
Students will be asked to assist parishioners to their seats as the liturgy begins in darkness, hold flashlights to help people see, to hand out and collect candles, and other small tasks to help at the Easter Vigil.

Helping Fill and Label Holy Water Vials for Easter
This project has students filling and labeling Holy Water Vials for Parishioners to take home at the Easter Vigil. Students are asked to meet by the Parish Kitchen.
